CENTER VOLUNTEERS

The Mediation Center relies on volunteers to mediate, and assist with office duties, case management, outreach, and training. In order to qualify, a volunteer mediator needs to complete an application, attend an interview, and complete a 20 hour training class and internship. The internship involves participation in orientation, and the observation of several mediations. Volunteers are a diverse and dedicated group of individuals committed to the concept of dispute resolution.

If you are interested in applying to become a volunteer, please contact the Mediation Center staff for an application. Training is conducted on an as-needed basis; the next training class will be held early in the fall of this year.
