DONATIONS TO THE CENTER
The Community Mediation Center of Stark County is a valuable asset - an organization helping to resolve conflicts quickly, before they escalate and result in physical, emotional, and economic harm to individuals, families, neighborhoods, and organizations in our community.
As a nonprofit organization, we are accountable to the community. The increased demand for our services has consistently stretched our current resources and capacity. The Center provides direct access to any individual who requests our services regardless of ability to pay. The modest fee structure established for the services rendered to our clients, unfortunately, provides an insignificant amount of income to the Center. Seventy percent of our clients are at or below the poverty level, and thus unable to pay for services on their behalf. Consequently, the Center must rely heavily on contributions by the community as well as grant funding. It has become increasingly difficult to meet the growing need for our services because of decreasing funding. All contributions to the Center help to support the commitment for peaceful resolutions of conflict in our community.
The Center seeks financial support from within our community. Your tax deductible donation will help the Center to continue in its efforts to reduce violence, unite families, stabilize housing, keep students in school, and build and sustain our neighborhoods. Please feel free to contact the Center for further details on how to make a charitable contribution to the Community Mediation Center of Stark County.
